If you would like to create an e-portfolio use Mahara which is the software we have at LIPA and is an excellent platform to display your talents. The LRC can provide you with guides on using Mahara or you can book a tutorial with one of the LRC staff who would be happy to get you started.

So come and check out some of the DVDs which were Best Film, Best Actor, Best Costume, Best Foreign Film etc… on their release, or check out some of the fantastic music from these films. We also have a number of books discussing the Hollywood machine and its importance to the film industry.  Get the popcorn in and have a night at the movies!!!

Matthew Bourne choreographer and artistic director of New Adventures is best known for his acclaimed, witty adaptations of classical ballets. The most  celebrated being his take on Swan Lake in 1995 with its all male troupe of swans.

His innovative choreography and storytelling has changed the face of British dance. He is credited with breaking down the barriers between theatre, ballet and contemporary dance, bringing dance to a wider audience without compromising its power and influence.

He believes being a latecomer to dance, and lacking formal acting and musical training has freed him from any restrictions and preconceived ideas of staging performances. This freedom gives his choreographies a fresh and unique identity with mass appeal.

The LRC has a number of his choreographies on DVD along with documentaries Bourne to Dance and The South Bank Show: Matthew Bourne’s Adventures in Motion Pictures so feel free to come along and check them out!
